I swore I would never join the Blogging revolution, but here I am. I plan to use this blog to communicate with friends and family while I'm in Japan. I'll do my best to make the blog not only edifying, but hilarious, with many delightful cultural misunderstandings!

I packed way light, no rain slicker. I've been sorry for it - New York summers can go from 100 and cloudy to 100 cloudy and raining in about the time it takes you to say Otsgaresamadeshta!
My new place is really great. Like I told you, it's really close to the park, I ran there yesterday and then went back for a picnic at sunset.
I'm strangely really enjoying the female company - two lady roommates and their luscious friend Natalie. Some good cuddling!
I read your correspondence with my Dad - my lord!, "bonsai....stunted example of growth myself", yikes!
I was so glad to hear you so relaxed and happy on the phone. I could tell that the last few weeks have really been regnerative for you. That's swell
I am really looking forward to hearing more from you.
Best,
Paul
